Echoes

Trifecta: Week Forty  DINOSAUR    3: one that is impractically large, out-of-date, or obsolete

Thought I’d give it a try again….in 33 words, short and bittersweet…

Well duh, mother. ”

Oh my Gawd, are you ser-i-ous?”

I can’t believe you don’t know what that is!

Words spoken 25 years ago….

Echoing to me, 25 minutes ago…I’ve become the dinosaur.

About KimB

I am a mommy to 3 wild and wonderful boys, wife to my husband. I am a stay-at-home mommy, who would like to work if the perfect job came along. Trying to find a way to make money from home so we can have more of the "wants" not just the "needs". We live in the sort of-country and have a pretty big garden, but no animals, except one small, dark, and furry dacshund.

I can completely relate. I’m a dinosaur and I know nothing – says my teenager. I was very close to writing something very similar. Good job.

I have 3 boys, but only the 17 year old thinks I know nothing. The 8 year old and 5 year old still think I’m the greatest… for now.

  2. Lumdog says:

Yeah, that happens for sure. This was nicely done is so few words.

  3. Annabelle says:

Ha! A truth that comes to us all in time, in only 33 words — well done.

Funny how this works. By the time we realize that our parents weren’t dumb, we’ve become the dumb ones 🙂

  5. lol, just read another trifecta dinosaur one with a similar theme. Loved this. My son is only 8 but I’m sure by 18 or so I too will be proven a dinosaur.

  6. Oh NOOOOOOoooooo. Isn’t it awful when it comes back around on the horn?

  7. That’s the truth! When I told my husband what the prompt was this week, he asked “did you write about us?”

  8. hahaha, short, sweet and oh so true!

  9. Carrie says:

LOL, I’m sure all parents hit that point eventually 🙂 Nicely done

  10. It happens to the best of us eventually. A dinosaur probably isn’t the worst thing we could be. Thanks for linking up again this week. We hope to see you back tomorrow for the new challenge.
